Position Scope

The Senior Project Manager manages the overall project direction, completion and financial outcome and administers both the owner and subcontractor relationships for assigned projects. This position may oversee a single large project or multiple projects. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for directing and mentoring on-site staff. The position requires business management acumen and must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Manage and/or coordinate Company personnel and resources;
  • Develop skills and mentor project management employees, including conducting employee evaluations per Trupella’s guidelines, as required;
  • Assist in preconstruction efforts;
  • Perform constructability reviews;
  • Prepare and execute Project Executive Plan;
  • Oversee project permit process;
  • Procure proof of owner’s Builder’s Risk Insurance or facilitate Trupella’s purchase if not owner supplied;
  • Obtain Notice of Commencement, if applicable;
  • Prepare trade contracts  and bid packages, as well as oversee procurement process;
  • Oversee cost control and change management systems;
  • Enhance and maintain relationships with clients, designers, consultants and internal Trupella clients;
  • Prepare initial master schedule and oversee updates;
  • Compile reports regarding financial performance of the project, including PSRs, PFCs and CI reports;
  • Prepare monthly owner project status reports, as required;
  • Review and approve Trade Contractor Payment Applications with Superintendent;
  • Review Trupella’s pay application to owner and ensure monthly submission when costs are incurred;
  • Attend and lead project meetings, including progress, pre-construction and pre-award;
  • Review inspection and test data for compliance with specifications;
  • Develop and maintain site logistics plan, in coordination with Superintendent;
  • Set-up QAQC procedures and conduct quality inspections;
  • Communicate and enforce Trupella Safety and Health Management Program;
  • Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment through own actions and mentoring others;
  • Oversee project close-out;
  • Owner contact for post-construction, including warranty period.

Qualifications

  • Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products;
  • Knowledge of Prolog;
  • Thorough understanding of industry;

Position Scope

We are looking for an MEP Procurement Manager to join our Building Services team to be responsible for the negotiation and placing of material/sub-contract orders against operational requisitions including the collation of all contractual documentation, logging and maintenance of orders. Administration of sub-contractor details including pre-qualification questionnaires, performance data and input of information to the database.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Minimise the cost of materials and plant supplied to Trupella
  • Improve service level agreements with suppliers and internal departments
  • Participate in the implementation of strategic procedural and practical changes to increase productivity and performance
  • Comply with Trupella procedures and policy on procurement including participation in Audits (Internal/External)
  • Assist projects and pre-con team in preparation of enquiry documents and tender review sheets
  • Support on the Implementation of procedures and supply agreements
  • Progress the provision of materials and services to meet contract programmes and deadlines
  • Obtain quotations for materials and plant to tight deadlines to meet tender return dates
  • Raise orders ensuring relevant technical and commercial clauses are included

Qualifications

  • Ideally, membership of professional body (RICS, CIPS), or working towards

  • Significant experience of procurement in the MEP industry
  • Sound working knowledge of the main forms of contract, NEC, JCT,

Position Scope

The primary objective of this position is to support the effective and timely procurement of goods and services to meet the needs of a project, while complying with regional and/or national procurement processes, protocols and objectives. This position reports to and receives direction from the Procurement Manager while coordinating with project management.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Support sourcing efforts by independently coordinating strategy development, preparation of RFP's, supplier negotiations and issuing recommendations as to which Subcontractor/Vendor to contract with;
  • Build effective relationships with project partners, external suppliers and agencies/Owners;
  • Ensure scope, notices, terms and conditions are included within the estimate solicitations and supplier contracts;
  • Ensure all recommended Subcontractors/Vendors have been subject to the Trupella prequalification process and all suppliers are approved before use, including issuing recommendations based on analysis for discrete exceptions to the prequalification process;
  • Work with Procurement Manager to develop Subcontractor/Vendor selection lists;
  • Support cross transfer of knowledge and expertise across different projects/regions of the business, including developing best practices for procurement and other applicable areas;
  • Work with Operations and Procurement Director to negotiate contract terms and pricing with clients and suppliers;
  • Attend pre-construction meetings and participate in kick-off meeting if required;
  • Supporting a One Trupella Approach and vision as a best practice;
  • Assist in independent bid comparison leveling for sourcing events;
  • Participate in vendor discussions;
  • Convert sourcing events into buy out events;
  • Assist with access to portal issues during vendor bids (if applicable);
  • Work with estimating, DBE department, and others to find new vendors;
  • Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution;
  • Create solicitation - Solicit bid price proposals including scope in order to meet project constraints of budget and schedule;
  • Create sourcing templates and format for regions and projects;
  • Negotiate Scope;
  • Create new rounds for buy out solicitation;
  • Enter quote on behalf of vendor into ERP system (if applicable)
  • Manage/Monitor/Analyze Solicitations;
  • Revising sourcing events, respond to questions/clarifications.

Qualifications

  • Experience of procurement management;
  • Working knowledge of contracting process preferred;
  • Previous experience as a Buyer / or procurement agent ideally from a similar background or industry;
  • Site based experience preferred;
  • Knowledge of suppliers, market prices and trends;
  • Ability to negotiate competitively and effectively;
  • Proficient with technology platforms, JD Edwards or similar, SharePoint and MS Office;
  • Previous experience as field engineer or in managing subcontractors is preferred;
  • Broad understanding of Construction Industry, including understanding of construction drawings and specifications;
  • Procore knowledge is a plus;
  • Education and/or Experience;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Purchasing or equivalent;
  • 3-5 years of industry experience.
